My name is Maria, and I'm a Finnish girl living in Sydney, Australia. I have two passions in life:
food (please check out my food blog Scandi Foodie) and Scandinavian design, and in this blog I am focusing on the latter.
Like so many Scandinavians, I have always been surrounded by beautiful design. There are many world renowned Nordic architects and designers, and we are very proud of them. We grow up eating off designer plates (Arabia and Iittala, to name a couple), we wear designer clothes (like Marimekko) and we ask for nothing less than clean lines, timeless and good quality pieces and designs that people all over the world know Scandinavia for.
With Scandi Home I'll be bringing you glimpses of this culture, updates from the latest in Scandinavian design across Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland, share with you my own DIY projects, and help you to achieve a Scandinavian feel in your own home.
